In an earlier blog, I talked about how to create a soft fade shape that adds a subtle yet very neat effect to a drawing. Using the soft shade I created, here’s how it affects different types of drawings. I think it works best with timelines, but you can try it on other drawings types to see if it fits. It can fade out the end of timeline to indicate that the timeline is a piece of a larger timeline. It can soften a flowchart starting shape to indicate that this is just one segment in a flowchart. Here the soft fade is applied to the top of the first shape in the process. A subtle effect, but it can add a bit of designer quality to the right drawing. -- Mai-lan This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
